The photo at the right is the "WorkHorse" of any Logging Business. The Skidder can do many things such as:
- Push through brush to get closer to the Logging Operation
- The "Grappler" at the back picks up logs to load into a neat "deck"
- The blade on the front cleans up brush, branches and other debris during the Harvesting Process
- The large tires enable the Skidder to move through mud and other rough terrain
The Giant Fir Log shown in the photo below is 11½ feet across the butt, and contained 13,700 board feet of lumber. The logging crew was really proud of this BIG TREE!
